Past President Memories

Thomas Rossin (1985-1987)

During my years as president I remember well the incredible camaraderie among ACDA members of the Board and the "we can do it" attitude. We had a small budget and everyone volunteered their hours of tireless work for the organization. What an honor and a privilege to serve in that capacity. We added a treasurer for the first time (Bea Hasselman), an historian for the first time (Katherine Doepke), established the first Male Chorus Project along with the already existing conventions and the just begun Summer Dialogue. Ronnie Nelson and Murrae Freng were honored as FMC recipients. Stan Carlson was membership chair; Curt Hansen and Murrae Freng were advertising chairs; Paul Rusterholz and Martin Dicke were editors of the Star of the North. Furthering the cause of Minnesota ACDA was a lot of hard work but the wonderful results of a growing organization fed us and kept us striving for more!
