The Star of the North Festival Concert Series

 presents the

2009 Minnesota Collegiate Choral Festival

The F. Melius Christiansen Endowment Fund Committee and ACDA of Minnesota are proud to announce the 2009 Minnesota Collegiate Choral Festival!  Choirs will perform individually and as a mass choir under the direction of Craig Jessop, head of the music department at Utah State University in Logan, UT, and former director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.   A special commissioned work by Eric William Barnum will be premiered by the combined choirs as the grand finale of this festival.

The event will be held November 13-14, 2009 at Bethel University in St. Paul. All Minnesota collegiate mixed choirs, men’s choirs, women’s choirs and two-year college choirs from institutions that were not participants in the 2006 135^th F. Melius Christiansen anniversary concerts are welcome to audition.  Five choirs will be chosen through a blind audition process to participate in this first-ever event!
