Position: President Elect *
Workplace: Minnetonka High School
W: 952 470 6949

Background:

A warm greeting to all MN-ACDA colleagues. I look forward to serving with leadership of ACDA-MN over the next several years. Humbled by the honor, I lean on the experience and expertise of all those who are currently providing leadership, and specifically, those who have served as President.

I am currently directing choirs at Minnetonka High School, a position I've held since 1994.  Formerly, I taught at Robbinsdale-Cooper High School, and in the Watertown-Mayer Public Schools. Having been raised in the northwest corner of North Dakota, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Minot State University and hold a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Minnesota.

Message to Colleagues:

The mission to “support and inspire a community of choral musicians” is evident in everything ACDA does, because of ordinary people who choose to be extraordinary givers. Great and gracious gifts of time and creativity have given birth to convention programs, honor choirs, festival experiences, community events – all opportunities to inspire our own singing communities.

Now elected to lead this organization, I am buoyed by the trust of my colleagues and ready to collaborate with the next leadership team as we seek to discern and to meet the ever-changing needs of Minnesota conductors.  It is a pleasure to give back to an organization from which I have received so much. Please write, call, volunteer and join me, won’t you, as we strive to learn and grow together?
