Mary Kay Geston (2005-2007)

I recall many things that from my time as ACDA-MN president, but two things stand out: 1) Hiring our first ACDA-MN webmaster (Tom Hale); and 2) Facilitating the organizational transition from having a part-time executive secretary (Wayne Kivell) to having a full-time executive director (Bruce Becker).
We had countless task force meetings and worked with a consultant (Eric Runestad) to look carefully at the future of ACDA-MN before making this landmark decision. The question of moving to a full-time executive director position was contingent upon the membership voting to add a new state dues of $15 to active, paid and paying life, and retired members. It was an incredible learning experience and one that I know has already benefited our state organization tremendously.
