Job Description
Part-time (10-12/hrs/wk) Choral Music Director
in small ELCA
congregation in south Minneapolis. Liturgical
worship currently with
one choir that sings at 9:00 service most weeks,
September-May.
Director would be responsible for weekly
rehearsals, choosing music,
and coordinating vocal or instrumental music
offerings for 10:30
worship, and recruiting participation in choral
music. Summer choir
sings the first Sunday of each month,
June-August, with no rehearsal
prior to Sunday morning. Position also includes
responsibility for
oversight for children and youth vocal music
(about 60 children through
age 18), as well as planning with other staff
(pastor and organist) and
lay committee members. Looking for candidate
with energy and enthusiasm
to build opportunities for vocal and
instrumental music that will
enrich worship and enliven faith. Experience and
