Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is seeking:
Director of Music Ministry
This is approximately half time with some benefits and a fully competitive salary. The position includes leading worship on pipe organ and piano and accompaniment/direction of choirs for 1 weekly service. Mid-week rehearsals for vocal and hand bell choirs and pre-service warm-ups are necessary. We are looking for a creative and highly skilled person to lead our appreciative congregation in worship through music. St Luke’s is an open and affirming parish. We value the ability to encourage congregational participation both through hymn singing and the offering of musical gifts, and to provide joyful and highly competent music leadership in a diversity of musical styles. Our parish has a wide breadth of offerings including adult choir, hand bell choir, recorder ensemble, and a significant number of accomplished parish musicians who solo and play in ensembles. Our instruments include a Yamaha grand piano, 25 rank Moeller Pipe organ, harpsichord, a 3-octave hand bell set and 2- octave hand chime set.
