The 2008 Minnesota State ACDA Convention
will be held on the campus of St. Olaf College
in Northfield on Friday and Saturday, November
21-22.
The main performance venue will be the newly
renovated Boe Chapel.
Complete remodeling and acoustical treatment in
2007 have made this venerable chapel into a
beautiful concert space.
All activities of the convention--Immersion Day,
the Student Symposium, the honor choir
rehearsals and concerts, and of course the
convention itself--will be housed on campus.
Blocks of rooms have been reserved at four
Northfield hotels and motels.
• The Country Inn ($79 plus tax)
• The Archer House ($75 for cozy rooms to $140
plus tax for larger rooms).
• The Archer House is one of the oldest river
inns in Minnesota.
Each room is individually decorated.
• Super 8 ($67 plus tax for 1 bed; $76 plus tax
for 2 beds)
• AmericInn ($79 plus tax).
This hotel has a pool and has been reserved for
use by honor choir participants.
