The Twin Cities Catholic Chorale

Robert L. Peterson, Director

The Twin Cities Catholic Chorale at St. Agnes Church in St. Paul announces their 39th season performing major Latin Masses on Sundays at 10:00 AM beginning October 14 with Haydn’s famous Paukenmesse (or Mass in Time of War).  These Masses are performed in their original settings during the celebration of the Mass with full professional orchestra, soloists and volunteer chorus.  Bob is available to come to your school or church to discuss the great Masses of the 18th and 19th centuries, provide translations and prepare you to hear an orchestral Mass in a beautiful German/Baroque style church.

On Tuesday, November 2 (All Souls Day) the Chorale and Orchestra will present the Mozart Requiem Mass (K 626) as a part of Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed.  This event is free and open to the public.  Mass begins at 7:30 PM.

This program of sacred music was founded by Monsignor Richard J. Schuler who was also pastor of St. Agnes.  Although the Twin Cities Catholic Chorale is an independent non-profit corporation, there is a close relationship between the Chorale and the Church of St. Agnes. The Church of St. Agnes is only a few minutes by freeway from most areas of the Twin Cities.  Exit I-94 at Dale Street. Go north on Dale Street to Lafond Avenue.  Turn right on Lafond and proceed one block (548 Lafond Avenue, St. Paul).   Bob Peterson joined the Chorale in 1999, was appointed Associate Director in 2000, and Musical Director in 2003.
