Concert / Event Announcement Details

Dear Minnesota ACDA members,   Dr. René Clausen of Concordia College, Moorhead has spent the last two years composing 'The Passion of Jesus Christ' which will premiere in Orchestra Hall, Minneapolis on Saturday, April 8th at 7:30 p.m.   It is his most significant choral-orchestral composition.   The piece, performed by the 400 members of The Concordia Orchestra, Concordia's four choirs and voice faculty, brings audience members closer to powerful scenes from Christ’s procession into Jerusalem, the Last Supper, the Garden of Gethsemane, the trial before Pilate and the crucifixion. In addition to telling the story of the Passion, music and text reveal moments when major figures struggle with the motivation and implication of their actions.   There are still some tickets remaining and we encourage you to buy online today or call 800-292-4141.   or     Make plans to attend and then help us promote this intriguing new work by using the resources found on this page:     If you have any questions, please contact me at the information below.
