Background: I grew up on a Wisconsin dairy farm and graduated from Brookwood HS (Ontario, WI) and received a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Valparaiso University and a Master of Science in Teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. I taught junior high choral music for 4 years in Janesville and Manitowoc, WI, prior to teaching junior and senior high school choirs in Edina, MN for 28 years. I served as the first full-time General Manager for the Dale Warland Singers from 1980-83, and in 2005 I retired from teaching with Edina Schools. I have served as a past president of ACDA-MN, the ACDA North Central Division and ACDA National and am currently currently employed as the Director of Development for ACDA-MN's F. Melius Christiansen Endowment Fund and as a Group Tour Specialist for Accolades International Tours for the Arts.
Message to Colleagues: How fortunate that ACDA-MN has its own endowment fund which provides valuable resources and leadership for its membership. Annual scholarships awarded via the FMC Endowment Fund Committee afford ACDA-MN members unique professional development opportunities that will ensure a vibrant future for exemplary choral music in Minnesota.
