Commissioning Consortium

In the winter of 2010, a group of interested choral directors and composers met to organize the first ACDA-MN Commissioning Task Force.  The charge of the Task Force was to create new opportunities to promote and support the creation and development of new choral compositions written by Minnesota composers.  Further, the goal of the Task Force was to offer an opportunity for state-wide collaboration in sharing the expense of these commissions by creating a consortium to support this work.

The first ACDA-MN Commissioning Task Force members are:

  • Bruce Becker, ACDA-MN Executive Director
  • Bryan Blessing, Task Force Chair, choral director, Oak Grove Middle School, Bloomington
  • Craig Carnahan, consultant and staff member, American Composers Forum
