Background: I grew up in the Sheldon, Iowa area and graduated from Western Christian High School in Hull. I attended Dordt College in Sioux Center with a BA degree in Vocal/Instrumental/Clarinet performance. I received a MM degree in Clarinet performance from the University of North Iowa in Cedar Falls. I began my teaching career in Iowa at Ackley-Geneva/Wellsburg-Steamboat Rock Schools (K-8 instrumental; and vocal. I then moved to Minnesota and taught vocal and instrumental music at Madison Elementary school. I now teach 7-12 vocal music and 5-8 band lessons in the Morris Area School District.

Message to Colleagues: I enjoy working for the ACDA-MN membership as your Advertising Chair for the Star of the North state newsletter. We are always looking for more advertisers to support our award-winning publication. On a personal note, ACDA-MN is the best thing that I could have done to assist me with my teaching!
